Ten or so years ago, my family and I began moving around every few years because of my husband's career. With each move, came more travel, adventure, and new experiences. Change has been one of the few constants for my family and I, and with that, I've learned that world is an amazing and fascinating place that deserves to have each pocket of its voice shared. I've been gifted the rare perspective of having and raising children in different parts of the world, of being able to travel reasonably often in an authentic, realistic way (here's looking at you low-cost airlines).
As the years have gone by, my love of antiques and artisanally made goods has increased. My husband and daughters have learned to join in the fun of spotting cool interiors, antiques and boutique clothing and jewelry designers. I've had a blast introducing the girls to hard-working artists with a passion for their craft. It takes them, and me, beyond the shops and museums, and deep down into the nitty gritty of what it takes to own a pottery studio, create gorgeous hand-made shoes, run a successful kitchen, and curate a collection of beautiful clothes, accessible to ready-to-wear clientele. My desire to show my children the world has created a desire in me to share these experiences with others. There's too much "good stuff" in this world for it to be kept to myself.
